Despite using 2D graphics, the game doesn’t feel clunky and it plays smoothly as any other new-aged game. It honestly makes me feel like a kid again from the way the music plays in 8-bit. It kind of reminds me of Super Mario Bros, except with a sci-fi genre and more guns. Its 2D side-scrolling graphics will make you nostalgic about older games in the past. The graphics are stunning, and the attention to detail is impressive. It’s like having your very own space squad that is ready to tackle anything that comes their way or destroy themselves in the process for laughs and giggles. The best part is that the game is also remote play, meaning you and your friends can play together without being in the same room. You can team up with your friends and delve into the unknown, experiencing the craziness together. The multiplayer system is where the game truly shines. Meanwhile, you have to make sure to get blown to bits by radioactive plants, dangerous aliens, and worst of all, fall damage. For example, you could go on a rescue mission to save someone, collect items, or defeat specific aliens and monsters. The missions vary based on the portals you take within the game. You can customize your character with the resources you find and create new armor, weapons, and even superpowers. I have always had an interest in games that contained procedural generation. The game is a mix between platformer and shooter, and its mechanics revolve around the roguelike genre, meaning that each time you play the game, the planets and enemies change, making it unique and unpredictable. Strap on your space boots and grab your shovels because we’re about to explore the depths of this quirky sci-fi game. This game takes you on an adventure like no other, where you play as a space miner who digs deep into different planets while encountering different species and obstacles that could cost you your life. Greetings fellow gamers, I have recently been on an intergalactic journey playing “DIG – Deep in Galaxies” (on Steam), and boy, do I have some things to say about it.
